Yasmin, your kind of pills

Yasmin was prescribed to me by my OB Gyne in St. Luke's due to my hormonal imbalance which I also reported 1 year before the prescription. I have zero idea on what pills are for, except for preventing a woman from getting pregnant. That day she advised it to me, I learned that those kind of pills can also help in making a woman's irregular period regular.

I was so scared to tell my mom that I'm taking pregnancy prevention pills because she might think that I'm doing the deed. I hid it from her and took the pills in the evening so she won't notice. After a month, I broke the news to her,  gently and surely. I'm just happy that she didn't get mad and then told me that it also happened to her eldest sister who experienced a surprising loss of period for a year (that's longer than mine, which is 2 or 3 weeks).

I've taken my 4th pack and I still have 2 more packs to go in completion of my 6-month "treatment"

So far, here's my conclusion on the said brand:

I hate my pills because:
  1. It's far more expensive than the rest --it costs 813 PHP per pack.
  2. It gave me frequent shifting moods and depressed emotions on my 1st 2 months though depression still visits me every now and then.
  3. I think it's where I got my unusual palpitations (well, aside from the fact that I'm in dire need of losing weight).

On the other hand:
  1. I have good skin condition since I used it. I didn't have pimples/acne, which usually shows up a week before and during my season;
  2. I also didn't gain too much weight with it. My weight is still manageable. At first, I thought I felt getting bigger but to my surprise, there's no change in my weight; I even shed off a few pounds and I'm happy with that (I think most woman will be happy losing weight especially when needed).
I'll be back on her office after my sixth month of taking the pills for follow up. I will surely give her this feed back so she can change it if needed.
